Work trousers

Good work trousers make room for the movements you repeat throughout the day. Compare the cut, leg length and waistband with the layers you normally wear, then look at where the pockets sit when you bend, drive or climb.

If your work involves kneeling, check the exact trouser and knee-pad combination rather than choosing an insert on size alone. Reinforced fabric, stretch panels and tool pockets are useful details to compare, but do not establish protection from a particular hazard.
