About Us

Brief History

Our Family owned and run business began life back in 1996, a joint venture between Father (Tim) and Son (Mark). We started from a small industrial unit in our hometown of Clitheroe, a small traditional market town in the Ribble Valley, a lovely part of Northern England. We are also close to the Duchy of Lancasters Estate and the famous Bowland Forest.

We began providing a specialist embroidery service to local businesses, by word of mouth and recommendation we started working with some large organisations, this in turn lead to producing embroidered logos for many of the Blue Chip Companies around the world, including the likes of Mercedes, BMW, Volkswagen, BP, the list goes on and on. Something that we are very proud of, it is always nice to see your work being used by leading Companies and Organisations.

With the increase in demand we needed more help so another two members of the Family joined our workforce, Linda the wife of Tim and also Neil who is the brother to Mark, making a full family business.

In 2003 we moved to Larger Premises just across from where it all started, we also became a UK Limited Company: ID Design Embroidery Ltd

Over the years we have built up good relationships with our suppliers who have increased their product base and have allowed us to produce a more varied catalogue of goods. The increase in Workwear related products helped us to make the next step which would be online retail, this started at the end of February 2009 with our Ebay Shop.

By the middle of 2009 we decided that Amazon would also be a good idea to help with the growth of our business, we also setup our very own website and ecommerce store to help promote our products.

We became Official UK Distributors for Delta Plus, Panoply Workwear and Venitex PPE Products. Our strong relationship over the years with LH Safety Delta Plus has helped in our success, we are now the Largest Supplier in the UK for Brands such as Delta Plus, Capps, Redwood, ABS, Globe Trotters, Panoply, Venitex, Tiger and Froment.

In that same year we also started working with Mascot Workwear in Denmark, Europes Award Winning Workwear Manufacturer, a premium brand with the highest quality work gear money can buy. We now have a dedicated website for the entire Mascot Range.

From the early days of internet trading we have continued to source new products to satisfy the demand from our loyal customers.

In 2010 we became Official UK Distributors for Blackrock Workwear products, this Brand had been new to the Market back then and coupled with great Quality and even better Prices these have helped our online presence and growth within the industry.

In the same year we doubled the size of our premises to help with our growth and expansion plans.

Building Good Relationships with our Suppliers is key, we spend a lot of time and effort working with them to help provide new and exciting products for you.

In early 2011 we became Official UK Distributors for Progressive Safety products with Brands such as JCB Workwear, PSF Safety Footwear and Worktough.

We strive to offer the best customer service possible, along with competitive pricing and a wide range of choice. The Brands which we have selected over the years have provided us with a suitable solution whatever the budget.

In 2013 we made quite a few changes behind the scenes with improved working methods to help keep upto speed with the fast pace of internet ecommerce. We are always investing in new technology and teaching new skills to our dedicated workforce. This is a team effort and something that we are all very proud of.

We also introduced a new line of Safety Footwear with an enviable reputation for superb quality and comfort - V12 Safety Footwear Range, the quality is exceptional and the comfort unheard of in safety footwear.

2014 and our expansion plans continued as we moved to new improved premises, we are on the same industrial estate as previous but are now located in Unit 9. We also launched the brand new JCB Workwear Range, offering quality at a new affordable price.

The Brand Names of Panoply, Venitex and Froment change to Delta Plus who are the manufacturer, offering protection from head to toe. No differences to the products, just a rebranding under one new name!

2015 - We have built a brand new website to keep pace with the fast ecommerce world, we trust the improvements will be of benefit to you, our loyal customers.

2016 - We moved premises to the lovely rural village of Slaidburn in Lancashire, about a 20 minute drive from where it all started from. The building that we now call home was built in 1873 and was a former girls school, it looks directly across to the war memorial in the centre of the village.

We still work on the basis of 'appointment only' so please contact us first before travelling as we do not hold stock of all our products at this location.
